1. Should I bring anything with me for the appointment?

There is no need, everything is provided at the salon. You will be given disposable massage underwear and a towel. Before the massage, you can take a shower – please inform us in advance about it.

2. Should I prepare myself for the appointment?

There are no special recommendations. We suggest coming with light or no makeup and to avoid eating any food an hour before the massage. However, it is advisable to properly hydrate the body by drinking water.

3. Are there any special contraindications?

The main contraindications are infectious diseases, including: skin diseases, unhealed wounds, certain cardiovascular and musculoskeletal illnesses, fractures, recent surgeries, being in first trimester of pregnancy or pathologies of pregnancy. Detailed contraindications are available here

4. Do you perform massages for children?

Yes, provided they do not have any contraindications. As a standard at our salon, we perform light aromatherapy for children.

5. What type of massage do you recommend?

There is no universal or one recommended massage for everyone. We choose a suitable massage based on the reported ailments and expected effects of the massage (massage can be therapeutic or relaxing).

6. What are the benefits of the massage?

The massage works holistically on the whole body and has a number of effects depending on the selected type. To name just a few of them: deep relaxation and loosening of the body, improved blood circulation, detoxification of the body, alleviation of pain, alleviation of depressive states and stress-related tension, boosting the immune system, improved joint mobility, improved sleep quality.

7. How often can you receive a massage?

The frequency of massages are solely dependent on the ailments and expectations of the client. There is no fixed framework for the frequency. Regularity is key to the best results.

  2. Open lesions, unhealed postoperative wounds
  3. Cases of acute inflammation
  4. Infectious diseases during treatment
  5. Diseases and conditions of the circulatory system:
    • during the period of up to 6 months post cardiac arrest in conservative treatment
    • during the period of up to 9 months post coronary artery stent placement
    • during the period of up to 12 months post ischemic brain stroke
    • atrial fibrillation without antithrombotic treatment or in the first month after commencement of antithrombotic treatment
    • atherosclerosis of lower limbs
    • aortic aneurysm
    • deep vein thrombosis during treatment
    • stenosis of cervical arteries
    • mechanical heart valve or cardiac pacemaker
  6. During the period of up to 2 weeks post injuries like: sprains, serious contusions, muscle and tendon tears
  7. During the period of up to 6 months post fractures
  8. Brittle bones due to, e.g. neoplastic diseases
  9. During the period of up to 6 months post traditional surgery or up to 2 months post laparoscopy
  10. Directly post chemotherapy or radiotherapy
  11. First trimester of pregnancy
  12. Pathological pregnancy

Some of treatments can NOT be done in case of: pregnancy, period, arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, varicose veins. If those cases please inform reception in order to get recommendation.

In case of neoplastic diseases, advanced cases of spinal hernia and spondylolisthesis, the decision whether to participate in a Thai treatment session should be consulted with a doctor.
